Flushable nonwovens (predominantly produced via hydroentanglement technology) are special eco-friendly substrate materials for disposable hygiene products. They are mainly made of virgin wood pulp fibers and Lyocell staple fibers, both of which are naturally biodegradable.Its core advantage lies in controllable dry and wet strength: the material is sturdy, tear-resistant and not easy to break during wiping. After being flushed into the toilet, it rapidly disintegrates into short fibers under water flow and hydraulic agitation in pipelines. It will not clog toilets, indoor pipelines or municipal sewage networks and avoids microplastic pollution.

It does not dissolve in water but physically separates into discrete fibers. It serves as the key raw material for wet toilet paper and flushable cleaning wipes.
